Painful Pleasure

Darryl Mims Posted by Darryl Mims at 12:37 AM on December 05, 2009 Comments comments (1)

Searching for the rain

Embracing the pain

The dark cloud is my protector

From the love that waits

As she anticipates

An answer for me to accept her

My body tells me yes

This I must confess

To want what I love and need

But my head tells me no

Can’t feel the right flow

As I wait for pain to succeed

Pain is my elixir

No need to fix her

At least it will always be there

Love will abate

That is my fate

To suffer a mind that doesn’t care

As the darkness takes hold

Your love will grow cold

All the better for me to accept

Why lead me on

When all will be gone

With nothing left to protect

Pain is my pleasure

Rain is my treasure

A chain to your heart will stay broken

No feelings to bring down

No love to be found

No more words to be spoken

The Gift

The Gift

I give you this gift.

To show how much you mean to me.

It's not something I could wrap

Or put in a box.

But there's a catch to this gift.

You must handle it with care.

Treasure it like it was your own.

And remember who gave it to you.

Cause it cost me a lot,

And I can't get a refund back from it.

Love

LOVE

Thrust myself suddenly

into it

could not make sense of it

blew it

and though it drifted like dust on sandpaper

ran towards it

hid when I should have embraced it

found it difficult to stay

wavered in it

was uncertain and afraid

accused it

chased it back from whence it came

insulted it

ignored its very name

grew cold to it

Then one day I caught a glimpse of it

minding its way i grew quite fond of it

began envisioning my life with it

entertaining my lonely heart with it

And so took company with it

I have mistreated and neglected it

apologized and been forgiven by it

I have recently been redeemed by it

the hurt i caused has strengthened it

This beautiful creation with tenderness

wished upon the very star I missed

through a seed of life into a barren tomb

Life now grows in my very womb

Life

Kelley Posted by Kelley at 08:14 AM on November 11, 2009 Comments comments (2)

life happened to me

and I happened to it.

neither of us would bend

enough to make a good fit.

we had both gone crazy,

just couldn’t get along.

we each wanted our own way

yet we both were wrong.

we arranged to meet

but neither showed up

we both couldn’t be right,

so we both gave up

Everyday Should Be Veterans Day

The Homeless Poet Posted by The Homeless Poet at 07:45 AM on November 11, 2009 Comments comments (3)

Everyday Should Be Veterans Day

Every day

Should be veterans day

We must ever forget

All the fighting

That they have done

Because, For us they did protect

Everyday

Should be veterans day

For all

That they have done

Shielding us

Protecting us

Until the victory is won

Everyday

Should be veterans day

For the protectors of you and me

For all that

They have sacrifice

To keep our country free

Procrastination

Too much work to finish,

The hour is late,

Instead of getting it done,

I’ll just procrastinate.

Too much fun to be had,

I’m enjoying this date.

Won’t bother to go home

I’ll just procrastinate.

Too into this show,

Can’t turn from channel eight,

Instead of going to sleep,

I’ll just procrastinate.

Too tired to get up,

This alarm clock can wait.

Forget my boss and my job,

I’ll just procrastinate.

Too into my career,

Starting a family can wait.

Making this money feels good,

Just had to procrastinate.

Too sick to live,

Only death is my fate.

But I’m not ready to die,

So I’ll just procrastinate.

SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME

LADY ADRIENNE Posted by LADY ADRIENNE at 12:44 AM on November 06, 2009 Comments comments (0)

When you're crying and you're all alone

Save the Last Dance for me

When He doesn't call you for that date

on that lonely Saturday nite

while you're left alone and brokenhearted,

Save the last Dance for me

When he makes love to you

Gratifying himself selfishly, and not you

Save the last Dance for me

When his words are degrading to you

painful insults stored in your memory bank

him, telling you, why he has to cheat, to be satisfied

Save the Last Dance for me

When he tells you,

if you get pregnant,

that child is not his

and insists, you get an abortion

when you are left wondering,

How could he deny his child,

Save the Last Dance for me

When he tells you, you are fat,

too skinny for him

Save the Last Dance for me,

Save the Last Dance for me

the very last dance

because,

it will be with me

and it will be forever

You and Me, only

because

I was the one that you didn't realize

was always there

that friend

who always listened

Save the Last Dance for me

RITES OF PASSAGE

LADY ADRIENNE Posted by LADY ADRIENNE at 12:27 AM on November 06, 2009 Comments comments (2)

As I lay on these sheets

I'm about to take this journey

A Rite of Passage with you.

A spiritual unification,

meant for us two.

The essences of certain aromas fill the atmosphere

while the scents of intensity, lay dormant in the room.

Pheromones that leave a scent of desire,

excreated from our own annointed oils.

My Pleasure Principal,

about to be fulfilled

Volcanic eruptions

will be fulfilled

The satisfaction from you.

Heat will intesify then slowly decline

Lost in the moment

a dance to a song

a song with a melody

our song,

no one will recreate.

The Rites of Passage has ended,

Two accomplished beings,

binding together.

A simple journey of two souls.

No baggage to carry,

accepting this as a

RITES of PASSAGE.

When will my ship come in

I ask as I

go to work

as I

come home and I

cook clean and wash and I ask

when will my ship come in?

when will I be the one who

wins the prize

who

takes it all

who

gets the guy

and

sails off

into the sunset...

when will the

stove be spotless and the

floor be spotless and the

wall be free of

the happiness of crayola

And so I sit on the chair

that's been

pushed all about

as a car

and a truck

or a launching pad

But then a chocolate stained smile

and a

chocolate stained hug

give me the

purest love

in the world.

HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE

LADY ALBYNO Posted by LADY ALBYNO at 01:05 AM on November 03, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Your love is so deep

your word you did keep

You died 4 your sheep

& arose from a 3 nite sleep

So we could reap

the seed you planted

Deliverance was granted

the enemy ranted

Your love is plain

now 4ever you reign

Your ears perk @ our slightest peep

your unconditional love is so deep
